Introducing Packlet and a fresh look for Circuit

Packlet is here, and Circuit has a new look. Meet our travel packing app and take a look around the redesigned website.

We've got two things to celebrate: the release of Packlet and a fresh look for the Circuit website. It's lovely to be able to share both with you.

In our first post, we talked about building software around everyday problems. Packlet is another step in that direction — this time, helping with the list of things to remember before a trip.

Meet Packlet

Packing has a way of making you question whether you've remembered the obvious. The charger. The waterproof. The thing you were sure you'd put in the bag already.

Packlet gives those little details a place to live. It's our new iOS app for organising trips and packing lists, so you can see what's ready and what still needs your attention.

A few of the things it can help with:

  • Planning a trip — keep your destination, travel dates and packing progress together.
  • Making a list that fits — organise items around your activities, add your own essentials and customise packing suggestions.
  • Keeping track — tick things off as they go into your bag, without having to remember what you've already packed.
  • Getting ready again — copy a previous trip to give your next list a head start.

Your lists work offline, and you don't need an account to get started. Whether you're heading away for a weekend or planning something further afield, the idea is simple: a little less to keep in your head before you leave.

You can find screenshots and more details on the Packlet product page, along with the link to download it from the App Store.

A new home for what we're building

Alongside Packlet, we've redesigned the Circuit website. There's more breathing room, a fresh visual style and space to explore our apps and the thinking behind them.

The homepage brings our work together, with Packlet joining Rentably. Each product has its own place to show what it does and how it might fit into your day.

The journal is part of that home too. As we said when we started, we'll be sharing a mix of product updates, ideas, practical guides and things we learn along the way. It's good to have a space that can grow with those conversations.

The same idea behind both

A packing list and a website are different projects, but they share a useful question: how can we make this easier to use?

For Packlet, that means helping you feel a little more prepared for your next trip. For the website, it means giving you a clearer picture of Circuit and the things we're making. Both reflect the care we want to put into our work, right down to the small details.

Thanks for following along. We're excited to have Packlet out in the world, and we hope you enjoy exploring our new home.
