Packlet - Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 September 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Packlet mobile application ("App"), provided by Circuit Software Ltd ("Circuit Software", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. On Apple devices, your use is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). If these Terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms, those mandatory terms apply to the extent of the conflict.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. About Packlet
Packlet helps you plan trips and create and manage packing lists. The App can be used offline without an online account. Optional sign-in enables cloud backup and restore features.
The App is a general planning tool. It does not provide travel, safety, medical, legal, immigration, customs, weather, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for checking what you need for your trip and complying with applicable rules.
2. Licence to Use the App
Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store rules, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or its services, except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
3. Local Use and Accounts
You may use the App without an online account. In that case, your data is stored on your device and is not backed up by us.
If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and provider account. You must provide accurate information and must not use another person's account without permission.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your App account or cloud backup has been accessed without authorisation.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of destinations, checklist items, and other content you enter into the App ("Your Content").
You give us a limited licence to host, copy, transmit, and otherwise process Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the App and its optional cloud services.
You are responsible for Your Content and must not use the App to store or transmit unlawful, harmful, infringing, or malicious material. Avoid entering sensitive personal information that is not needed for a packing list.
5. Cloud Backup and Data Loss
Cloud backup is optional and available only when you are signed in. Backups may fail, be delayed, or be unavailable because of connectivity, device, provider, or service problems.
Restoring from cloud may replace the App data currently stored on your device. Review any confirmation shown by the App before continuing.
The App and cloud backup are not guaranteed archival or disaster-recovery services. You are responsible for information you cannot afford to lose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, deletion, failed backup, restore, loss of account access, or third-party service failure.
6. Destination Images and Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for authentication, cloud backup, destination images, diagnostics, and App distribution. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices and may change or become unavailable without our control.
Destination images and related attribution may be supplied by third-party image providers and their contributors. We do not own those images or guarantee their accuracy, suitability, continued availability, or freedom from third-party claims. You must not remove required attribution or use images outside the App unless the applicable licence permits it.
7. Notifications
Trip reminders are optional and depend on device notification permissions and operating-system scheduling. Notifications may be delayed, suppressed, or not delivered. Do not rely on the App for time-critical travel, safety, or legal reminders.
8. Acceptable Use
You must not:
• Use the App or its services unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights.
• Attempt to bypass security, access another user's data, probe the service, or introduce malicious code.
• Use automated means to overload, scrape, or abuse the App, cloud service, or third-party image service.
• Misrepresent your identity or use the App in a way that could damage the App, us, our providers, or other users.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, branding, and content supplied by us, is owned by Circuit Software Ltd or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or third-party content to you. Open-source software included in the App remains subject to its applicable licence terms.
10. Changes, Updates, and Availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App. Updates may be delivered through an App Store or other supported update channels. You may need a current App version to continue using online features.
We do not promise that the App or any online feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Offline features may remain available, but this depends on your device and installed App version.
11. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete an online account through the App and may separately reset local App data in settings.
We may suspend or terminate access to online services if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, misuse the service, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice before termination.
When these Terms end, your licence to use the App ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law, will survive.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy (https://circuitsoftware.co.uk/products/packlet/privacypolicy/) explains how we handle personal data.
13. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms affects rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
14. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, or loss or corruption of data arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
The App is currently provided without charge. Subject to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, our total liability arising from the App or these Terms will not exceed GBP 50.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts and rely on mandatory protections under your local law.
16. General
If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations where this does not reduce your legal protections.
We may update these Terms when the App, law, or our services change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law. Continuing to use the App after revised Terms take effect means you accept them, except where the law requires another form of consent.
